Hiking for Beginer

Abah Hill (Bukit Abah)

Abah Hill offer an exciting track for beginner and intermediate hiker. Various route can be made with different elevation. A short track can be made taking 30 minutes - 1 hour that suitable for kids up to 15 years old. Middle track take 1 - 2 hours. And the longest track can take more then 3 hours.

The short track can also made as village walk. You may visit some temple (family, communal, village, and functional temple), local people activities, Balinese traditional house, etc.

On the top of Bukit Abah, there elementary and junior high school. The state school located on the eastern top of the hill, near Pura Luhur Abah Kangin.

Bali Camping Site

Buyan Lake Camping Site

Buyan camping Site located at Bedugul Area, Bali. This camp site can accommodate more then 1,000 people. What's make it interesting are (1) cold and fresh weather on the mountain; (2) beautiful scenery of the lake and landscape; (3) good trekking path for beginer; (4) provide information on flora around the area: this is very important for school and educational activities; (5) accessible by bus, truck, and small van; (6) very affordable (cheap) cost; (7) near traditional market and tourist destination; and (8) many other strenght that make the place very comfort for camping.

Tamblingan Lake Camping Site

Near Buyan Lake, there is another lake called Tamblingan. At the coast of the lake, there is a very exciting place to camp. To reach this site, we need to walk about 45 minutes from Buyan Camping Site. Or, we may use motor bike, following the trekking path. Temperature at this site alittle bit colder than at Buyan Camping Site.

Abah Hill Camping site (Bumi Perkemahan Bukit Abah)

A relatively new camping site is available at Besan Village (Desa Besan), Sub district of Dawan, Klungkung Regency, Bali. Located on the top of Bukit Abah (Abah Hill), the place offer very beautiful view of village, mountain, and rice field and ocean. Besaide camping, you may do trekking for beginer and intermediate participant. Some interesting local people activities are: (1) "ngirisin" - palm sugar harvest; (2) "Arak" making - a balinese high alcoholic beverage; (3) very traditional lifestyle; (4) etc.

Blahkiuh Camping Site
Blahkiuh Camping Site has been wellknown by student, teacher, and Balinese people as a place to camp. Blahkiuh usually used by local boyscott, foundation, school, university, and other local and national social organization.

There many other interesting places in Bali for camping, such as West Bali National Park Camping Site (Taman nasional bali Barat), Bukit Putung, Kintamani (Lake Batur), Batukaru, Muncan, ect. Every place have their own characteristic.
